Vine is a group of design-led architects based in East London. The practice was founded by Rory Pennant-Rea in 2011 and has grown to include a dynamic team with a shared belief and experience across a number of sectors. We have won various awards this year (2019 - New London Architecture Award, Architects’ Journal Retrofit Award and Build Magazine Award; shortlisted for two Dezeen Awards, another Architects’ Journal Retrofit Award and three Architizer Awards) and have had completed projects published in Wallpaper, Dezeen, Architect’s Journal, Grand Designs Magazine, the London Evening Standard and Elle Decor. We are currently working on a selection of residential projects from single houses to larger housing and mixed-use schemes as well as workplace, cultural and placemaking proposals.
The team offers a comprehensive service which can be tailored to suit each project and we have extensive experience of refurbishments, new-builds and heritage work. Every project is unique, with differing budgets and challenges. We have a ‘contemporary and timeless’ approach to design placing emphasis on sustainability and the use of carefully considered materials, textures and finishes to achieve a creative and elegant result. We bring a creative energy to our work matched with rigorous delivery to achieve tangible results to every project on which we work. Above all, we value a good working relationship as the cornerstone of every project and this is what we believe enables a successful and collaborative process.
