The Twin Barn House

The house was designed around the idea of creating a modern barn. Inside, the living, dining, and kitchen area all share the same space. White vaulted ceilings and walls give the room a light and lofty feeling. Outside clad in rustic materials and stone to blend with the natural landscape and rural setting. Focuses on the surrounding views and bringing in the most amount of natural light possible through the large panes of windows.

Increasingly, architects are being asked to convert barns into homes, with some homeowners even purchasing historic barn frames and relocating them to their land for a rustic, yet contemporary feel.
