The existing house is a lovely 1920s semi-detached property, which has retained much of its original character and materiality. Our design makes contemporary, sensitive interventions to extend and reconfigure the property whilst retaining and celebrating this character.

The asymmetric pitched roof form of the ground floor extension responds to the proportions of the original facade.

Conceived as an extension of the existing roofscape, the dormer extension provides full height glazed doors with a Juliet balcony to take advantage of views across the city towards Canterbury Cathedral.
