Oxfordshire House

Michaelis Boyd were approached by the owners of this 14 bedroom, 13 bathroom Grade II Listed house to transform the existing patchwork of buildings into a modern countryside family home.

We kept as many original features as possible, including the cornices and arched windowpanes, and introduced reclaimed timber floors throughout to add warmth to the cool neutral tones of the walls and furnishings.

The pool house was built with the same Cotswold stone as the main house and timber shingled roofing that will turn grey over time. The interior is supported with exposed oak beams.
