Freshfield Road, Formby

A Victorian property in Formby, Merseyside, which had seen various small extensions over the 100 years of its existence. Our first design move was to demolish all of these additions and strip back to the original structure so we can assess the project as a whole.

Our new interventions both respect and contrast the property. The scale and form of the new is recognisable and of its own identity as to not clash with the old. The extensions add an impressive vaulted kitchen, dining & living space to the side of the house with a new garage and first floor gym to the rear, each of their own aesthetic.
