The owners had moved from London to an Oxfordshire village just before the pandemic. They loved the house but found that their growing family lacked a space that connected to the beautiful garden and they were missing being able to spill out from the kitchen to a dedicated eating area. The house was Grade II listed and knocking through to an existing store required careful negotiation with the planning department's conservation officer who was also persuaded to allow the insertion of new French doors and windows. The result is a complete transformation of a tired and damp storage room into a much loved dining area, connected to the refurbished kitchen and most importantly to the garden. The family have said it has changed their life!
