Church Crescent

The project comprises of a double-height rear extension to a post-modern dwelling in Hackney South. The design proposes a large ground floor open-space incorporating the kitchen, dining area and living room, with the first-floor extension planned to offer a larger Master Bedroom with an en-suite and a generous inbuilt wardrobe. The internal reorganisation revolves around a new staircase design that allows additional light to penetrate the property whilst offering larger room layouts. While taking inspiration from the existing dwelling, the design offers a playful reinterpretation of its features. Long reaching views are offered towards the garden and the sky.
