An extension and internal refurbishment to the living and kitchen area. Adjoined to a lovely old stone barn with great character, the proposals which were approved at planning were for a timber and glass infill to create an additional living space.
The design intent was for something distinctly different to the main house, with glazed areas separating the old from the new in the most minimal way possible.
The timber cladding was conceived with alternating directions, with subtle venting to the eaves and a large pivot door opening out onto the garden.
