We create high quality, sensitive design that raises awareness and inspires change. Our pioneering approach improves the life of people, the community and our relationship with the planet.
We deliver bespoke and often ground-breaking buildings which are inherently contextual. Energy modelling and life-cycle assessment is a core part of the process: our work seeks to be beautiful - environmentally and aesthetically - reflecting the age of the climate and ecological emergency we live in. We are targeting for all of our new builds to be Whole life zero carbon by 2025.
We’re also passionate about teaching and run regular student build programmes. In 2021 we launched ‘No Building As Usual’ as a more collaborative cross-sector approach to student live builds.
Our portfolio of built work encompasses residential, commercial and community projects with a particular specialism in bespoke homes. We have a successful track record, securing planning permissions for ambitious designs on challenging urban and rural sites across the UK. We have extensive experience delivering projects through Paragraph 80 (an evolution of the ‘country house exception clause’) of the National Planning Policy Framework but are also passionate about realising the latent potential of existing buildings.
